Lexy’s Comedy Club: Lexis Shardé Returns to Talk Comedy, Creative Spaces & Building Her Dream 2025
In this episode of the Zack Lyman Podcast, Lexis Shardé is back—and this time with major news. She’s building something big in Eugene, Oregon: Lexy’s Comedy Club, her own comedy venue designed for comedians, creatives, and community.
We dive into what it takes to launch a club from the ground up, her vision for the space, and the kind of shows she wants to bring to life. From audition formats and late-night mics to podcast studios in the green room, Lexis is creating more than a comedy club—it’s a hub for creative growth.
The Vision Behind Lexy’s Comedy Club
Lexis recently got the keys to her new venue in North Eugene and is in the early stages of buildout. The goal? A 60-seat club with a “chef’s kiss” layout—intimate, stylish, and built for laughter. The space will eventually host a full lineup of shows, including traditional showcases, late-night open mics, and curated audition-style events where comics can be seen by real bookers.
She’s putting real thought into design, too. Think cozy living room vibes, purple accents, vintage sconces, and a green room that doubles as a podcast studio.

Creating a Platform for Comedians
One of the coolest aspects of Lexy’s Comedy Club is her approach to open mics and auditions. Instead of the typical “bring 10 friends” model, Lexis plans to host real audition nights judged by local producers, giving comics a chance to get seen and possibly booked.
She also talked about using $5 ticket nights to keep shows accessible while still building up an audience and paying performers. This kind of thoughtful strategy shows she’s not just opening a club—she’s nurturing a scene.
Why Clean Comedy Still Matters
We also talked about clean comedy—why it’s underrated, and how working clean can make you sharper as a comic. Lexis shares how performing clean challenges her to trim the fat and find funnier, tighter versions of her material.

Lexy’s Comedy Club Is More Than a Venue
Beyond stand-up shows, Lexis has big plans for the space. She wants it to be a creative hub where comics can record podcasts, film content, rehearse, or just hang out. She’s even considering a Murphy bed in the green room for comics traveling from out of town (yes, I’ve already called dibs).
She’s also dabbling with real estate comedy content again—doing market reviews with a funny twist—and is planning to document more of her stand-up life, especially as she gears up for more shows in L.A.
