How This Comedy Podcast Keeps Me Inspired

Doing stand-up, making videos, and chasing the next big idea can feel pretty isolating at times. But one thing that keeps me inspired—again and again—is sitting down with other creatives on my podcast.

Whether it’s an actor, a painter, a filmmaker, or a fellow comic, these conversations always give me something unexpected. Sometimes it’s a new joke idea, or a different approach to the comedy business. Other times, it’s more personal—a memory I hadn’t thought about in years gets unearthed. Or I just feel reassured that I’m not crazy for choosing this path.

Comedy Podcast Conversations That Spark New Ideas

One great example is my episode with Cienn Joyeux, a fitness creator who also travels solo and makes beautiful content around health and mindset. That episode genuinely made me pause and think about my own travel plans—and how being on the road plays into my creative process.

Then there’s Ian Crowley, a Seattle-based filmmaker and comedian. That one reminded me how much I love just sitting down, talking, and laughing with a friend. Nothing fancy—just real connection and shared creative energy.

Those moments matter.

Even when I’m not feeling 100%, or I’m wondering what the next step is for a project, talking to other creatives brings me back to center. It’s one of the unexpected gifts of podcasting—these conversations keep me going.

If you’re into comedy, creativity, or just want to hear from people who are building something cool, come hang out. New episodes drop every week, and you can watch full video episodes on Spotify or on YouTube.
