A Weekend in Richland, WA: Jokers Comedy Club, Packed Shows, and Novel Coffee

Just got back from headlining at Jokers Comedy Club in Richland, WA—and man, what a great weekend. This was my first time in Richland, and it did not disappoint.

First off, big shoutout to the staff at Jokers. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, from the tech folks to the bar staff. The showroom itself was awesome—big stage, solid sound system, and some high-dollar lights that made me feel like I was about to drop a TED Talk… but instead I told jokes about my life falling apart. Classic.

We had a packed crowd on Friday and somehow Saturday was even more full. I ran a 60-minute version of the hour I’m recording in May, and it was one of those sets where everything just clicked. The laughs rolled in, the pacing felt right, and I left the stage sweaty in the good way.

During the day, I found this great little coffee shop called Novel Coffee. I ended up spending a few hours there writing and just soaking up the vibe. The staff was super friendly, and the whole place had that perfect mix of calm and cozy. It’s the kind of spot that makes you feel like maybe—just maybe—you’re actually being productive.

All in all, Richland showed up. I had a blast, the crowds were amazing, and I can’t wait to come back to Jokers. Big thanks to everyone who came out, laughed, and made the weekend so fun.

Back to work now—more shows, more writing, and getting ready to tape this hour in May. Let’s go.
