Why Comedy Bar is My Favorite Comedy Club in Seattle
Seattle has some great comedy clubs, but Comedy Bar has quickly become my favorite spot in the city. I recently popped in for a guest spot on a Friday night show, and it reminded me why I love this place so much.
The Perfect Comedy Room
Comedy Bar just feels right for stand-up. It’s a beautiful venue with low ceilings, a well-lit stage, and an intimate vibe that makes performing there a blast. The drinks are affordable, it’s in a cool part of Seattle, and the staff? Easily some of the nicest people I’ve met in a comedy club. They seem to genuinely love working together, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere.

A Fun Drop-In Set
This past Friday, I stopped by and hopped on the lineup for a guest spot. Since it was a last-minute set, I did a mix of older material and some new bits I’ve been working on. I added to a joke about my family, and it really came together on stage. The audience especially loved hearing about the trailer park I grew up in, which is always a good sign for my new hour.

A Killer Show with Cam Kiernan & Simon Gibson
A couple of weeks ago, I also caught an incredible show at Comedy Bar featuring Cam Kiernan—who you might know from The Big Laugh TV Show on Amazon Prime—hosting for Simon Gibson from Inside Jokes. They both crushed it.
Simon was lightning-fast with crowd work, making every interaction feel like a unique moment you wouldn’t see anywhere else. Cam had the audience dying with her takes on fashion and thrifting culture. It was one of those nights where the energy in the room was electric.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As I continue working on my new hour—set to be filmed in 2025—I plan to pop into Comedy Bar more often whenever I’m not on the road. My set is shaping up to be a mix of stories about my life, childhood, past jobs, anxiety, and more. It’s exciting to see it all come together, and I can’t think of a better place to test new material.
If You’re in Seattle, Check Out Comedy Bar
If you’re in town and want a great night of stand-up, I highly recommend stopping by Comedy Bar on a weekend. They always have killer headliners, and the vibe is unbeatable. Check out their website for upcoming shows—you won’t regret it.
